Itinerary
Welcome to Delhi! On arrival at Indra Gandi International Airport you are traditionally welcome by our company representative and transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast travel to Amritsar the city of the Golden Temple and the holy shrine of Sikhism- has long been a place of worship. It derives its name from nectar (Amrit) pool (Sar).On arrival check in hotel.
Afternoon visit the Sikh Golden Temple that sits in the middle of a sacred lake and resounds with holy chanting, Durgiana Mandir and Mandir Mata Lal Devi.
This morning after breakfast start a scenic drive through the mighty Himalayas brings you to the upper Dharamsala or popularly known as McLeodganj. This hill station boasts of a thick cover of oak and conifer trees along with snow-capped mountains on three sides. It is a home of Dalai Lama and has a large Tibetan refugee settlement. On arrival check in hotel.
Rest of the day is at leisure followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
This morning after breakfast ready for the full day sightseeing of Dharamshala visiting "Namgyal Monastery" the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, War Memorial, Kangra Art Museum and monasteries.
After noon visit St. John’s Church, Bhagsunag Fall & Temple. In the evening you could stroll around the local bazaar (market) selling Tibetan exotica. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Early this morning, continue by jeeps to the "Queen of Hill Stations" Manali (2050 mt.) picturesquely situated in the midst of pinewood and cedar forests. En-route visits the beautiful green carpet of tea plantation at Palampur and also visits the Shiva Temple at Baijnath. On arrival at Manali check in hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
This morning visit the four-tiered, pagoda shaped Hidimba Devi temple and Tibetan monasteries. Later derive to drive to old Manali, its old beautiful houses and ancient Manu Temple. Afternoon visit Solang valley which offers the splendid view of glaciers and snow capped mountains and peaks. Also take an excursion tour of Naggar Castle and the Rorich art gallery. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Early this morning drive over the Rohtang Pass (3980m) to Keylong, which offers a panorama and spectacular Mountain View. Keylong is the district headquarters and gateway to the districts of Lahaul and Spiti, which is like an oasis of green fields, willow planted watercourses and mighty brown mountains. On arrival check in hotel.
Later visit is the famous Shashur gompa (Monastery), dedicated to the Zanskari lama lies three kilometers from Keylong and Kardang Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Today derive to Sarchu, which is 18 km. from Keylong. It is a popular destination for the visitors to start trekking option to get into Padum, and in winter it is the only way to Zanskar. You can also derive through the road from Darcha to Baralacha La (4892m) goes through Zing-Zing Bar and the sky blue Suraj Tal Lake. Reached Sarchu situated just over the state line into Himachal Pradesh.
Dinner and overnight stay at Sarchu.
Today’s drive to Leh the entire journey is filled with snow capped mountain and zigzag roads with full of greenery. This scenic drive road including a spine-tingling 21 loops of hairpin bends, on one side of one mountain. After covering this stretch you cross the second highest pass on this road Lachlangla (5060m).Stop at Pang for lunch. Later continue your journey and cross the highest pass on this road Tanglangla (5378m). Reached Leh and check in hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
This morning after breakfast visit all the famous monasteries around the Leh like Shey monastery, Hemis monastery, Alchi monastery, and Thikse monastery. Rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Sankar Gompa, Leh Palace, Spituk Gompa and Namgyal Tsemo. Afternoon you can take a chance for some adventure activities such as Mountaineering, White Water Rafting and Trekking in Ladakh. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Today your full day at leisure or you can visit 6th-century Tsemo (Victory) Fort and old town to explore the beauty of Leh.
Fly back to Delhi. Late in the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home or continue with extensions to India.
